Privacy Policy

This site exists to take a description of a septic, well, drainage or excavation situation and route it to an independent contractor or appropriately licensed designer who can look at it. It collects nothing beyond that. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and does not build a profile of you across visits.

What we collect when you submit a request

The request form asks for the service you need, your town, timing, the kind of property and system, a description in your own words, your name, phone number, ZIP code, an optional email address, and your consent to be contacted. We store what you type. We also store the page the form was submitted from and any campaign parameters present in the link you arrived on, so we can tell which pages produce useful requests.

Your browser’s user-agent string is stored on the request record. It is used to investigate abusive or automated submissions, not to identify you.

What we on purpose do not collect

• No cookies. This site sets none for visitors. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
• Tracking technologies: No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recording, no cross-site tracking.
• No stored IP address. To stop one source flooding the form, we hash the connecting IP address with a secret and a value that changes daily, and store only that hash. The hash cannot be reversed to an address, it is not linked to your request record, and it is deleted automatically after seven days.
• No account, no password, no payment details. There is nothing to log into and nothing to pay for.

The one thing stored in your browser

If you arrive through a campaign link, the campaign parameters are held in your browser’s session storage under the key vss-attribution, and the information survives if you read a few pages before filling in the form. Session storage is cleared by your browser when you close the tab. It never leaves your device except as part of a request you choose to submit.

Who your request is shared with

We are not the company that pumps the tank, drills the well or moves the earth. A request you submit is shared with an independent contractor or appropriately licensed designer who serves your town and handles that kind of work, who can contact you, assess the property and give you a written scope and price. That company is responsible for its own assessment, contract, licensing, insurance, work and privacy practices, and it will have your contact details and your description of the situation.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or list compilers. Beyond the provider handling your request, information is disclosed only where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse of this site.

The service providers behind this site

The site runs on Cloudflare, which hosts it, stores request records in its database service, and delivers the notification email that tells us a request has arrived. Cloudflare therefore processes this data on our behalf. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check that runs in your browser and is designed not to track you across sites.

How long we keep it

Request records are kept for as long as they are useful for handling the request, resolving a dispute about the work, and meeting legal obligations. After that they are deleted.

Rate-limit hashes are deleted automatically after seven days. If you ask us to delete your request record, we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Use the contact form and describe the request you submitted well enough that we can find it.

We will not ask you to create an account to exercise this. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state privacy law; we apply the same handling to everyone rather than sorting people by jurisdiction.

Children

This site is meant for property owners and managers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted a request, tell us and we will delete it.

Please do not send us sensitive information

The request form is for describing a property and a system. Do not send medical information, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or account credentials. We have no use for any of it.

Changes to this policy

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it and the review date above is updated. We do not make quiet changes to how information is handled and leave the page saying otherwise.
